The aim of the project is to develop and optimize the process and apparatus for separating cannabinoids from cannabis extract using supercritical sorption. The conditions of fractionation (pressure, temperature, solvent amount, extract to sorbent ratio) will be optimized in order to obtain highly concentrated extracts with a minimum of undesirable psychoactive THC or other ballast substances. The different types of sorbents will be tested with regard to their selectivity for the substances.
